Translations:Deaths of three cattle transporters at Arang/18/en

No arrests had been made by 18 June.[1] Five men were later arrested, and on 8 July 2024 police filed a chargesheet in a Raipur court charging them under sections 304 and 34 (common intention) of the IPC. According to the chargesheet, the accused chased the truck in three cars for about 53 km, partly on the wrong side of the road, and threw iron spikes and stones at it; it stated that the three men jumped from the bridge out of fear and were not assaulted. The attempt to murder charge was dropped after Qureshi's post-mortem report did not show homicidal injuries.[2]
