Noman was beaten to death, and his four companions were injured and admitted to hospital at Sarahan.[1][2] A medical report recorded “multifarious blunt injuries”.[2] The four surviving men were booked under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the state's cow slaughter law.[2][1]
