Rakbar Khan, a 28-year-old man from Kolgaon in Nuh, Haryana, was attacked by a mob on suspicion of cow smuggling near Lalawandi village in Alwar district, Rajasthan, on the night of 20–21 July 2018, and died before reaching hospital.[1][2] Police were criticised for taking about three hours to bring him to hospital.[1] In May 2023 an Alwar court convicted four men of culpable homicide not amounting to murder and sentenced them to seven years in prison.[2][3]
