Guddu Khan, 35, from Shamli district, and the cousins Chand Miya Khan and Saddam Qureshi, both 23, from Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, worked as cattle transporters. On the night of 6–7 June 2024 they were carrying cattle by truck from a village in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh and, according to The Quint, were heading for a cattle market in Odisha.[1] Their truck, loaded with buffaloes, was later found on the Mahanadi bridge.[2]
